I am on a self-imposed holiday in Donsol right now after being hospitalized in Iloilo last January for a possible heart attack. It has been raining since I got here and as much as I would like to regularly post travel stories on this site (I tell you, they’re piling up by the minute), the bad weather and the very poor internet connection tell me I should really devote time on my “health improvement” agenda.
I use one of those broadband stick thingamajigs to get connected but four hours of staying online to publish one story is not just punishing but also very time consuming. I don’t mind tinkering with my tablet for four hours when I am in Manila but four hours of online existence could get me very far when I am home. I might as well spend that time sleeping, or playing with my nephews and nieces, or chatting with the resort’s guests. Besides, the weather is not very conducive for activities that require me to glue my face to a tablet’s screen. It should be spent sleeping, or playing with my nephews and nieces, or chatting with the resort’s guests. So, pardon my absence. 😀
When the sun showed up today and put on an amazing sunset spectacle, I knew I had to get back to blogging. I just can’t resist a very good sunset. And I know I should not ignore the sight of a family having fun wading in the water while the sun slowly bids goodbye to the world. It should be shared with the rest of the humanity.
Family. Beach. Sunset. These things just spell fun and right on remind me of summer!
I have known this family since they got in our resort two days ago. They’re from Germany and they’re here to explore our country for one month. I know how hard it is to travel with kids, more so with a baby! I really admire this young couple for traveling with their 4-year old toddler and 6-month baby. It sure is not easy.
This father and son view is just heartwarming. At one point, dad tried to teach his son how to dive but the very active kid won’t pay attention so dad ended up giving him a kiss instead. 🙂
A mother’s love is definite. And spellbinding. Mom stayed most of the time beside the stroller where her baby’s sleeping, all along keeping a close watch on her husband and son.
Donsol sunset has never been this sweet.
There. I just needed a really, really good sunset to get me going again. It’s summer in my universe now! Looking at these photographs bring me both peace and excitement. Already, I am thinking of my summer tryst. Where would your wanderlust bring you this summer? I hope these images help. We need not go very far to know and appreciate the things that make our life merry and momentous.
Love and light, everyone! Go, wanderlust! 😀
