I wasn’t really keen on naming Zac Efron’s holiday destination yesterday because I understand the resort puts high premium on privacy but since it’s out in the media anyway and his publicist made it known already, yeah, Zac Efron and I are both on a holiday at Misibis Bay. I know the last phrase sounds unbelievably smug (haha!) but there’s no other way to put it – I pass by his villa (the resort’s most expensive, I’ve heard, and you have to visit my blog soon to see photographs of it) whenever I walk to and from my villa. 😀
The guests of this luxury resort must be really surprised to see Zac Efron and his father and friends walk around Misibis. I mean, who doesn’t know him, right? We all witnessed him mature from the energy-packed Troy Bolton in High School Musical to the passionate Logan Thibault in The Lucky One.
I knew the resort was expecting a big guest because everybody seemed busy yesterday morning, a departure from the resort’s carefree atmosphere when I got here three days ago. Every now and then, the music of Ibalong – Legazpi’s non-religious festival – will be playing and these kids will be out merrily dancing. There was an air of excitement around the resort.
I have a strong feeling Zac Efron will not be disappointed in Misibis Bay. It is the only luxury island playground resort in the country which offers different sort of adventures for its guest. Under the sea, on the water, on top of a mountain, or up in the air, Misibis does not disappoint.
The resort is one of only three hotels in the Philippines which is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World so that tells a lot about the kind of service and pampering that Zac Efron will get to enjoy in Misibis.
When Zac arrived yesterday, he was obviously tired from his trip, but he was still very polite and, to use the word that I heard after he passed by where we were, very charming. The staff members who welcomed him were surprised to hear him say, “Salamat po!” like it was very natural for him to say such.
Later that night, I was told Zac enjoyed the Bicolano dishes that were prepared for him at the second floor of Sitio, the recreation area of the resort where one can play billiards and foosball, among others. But the food that he liked best was lechon de leche (suckling pig).
I don’t have a picture of Sitio with me right now, but it is just very near the resort’s restaurant, Spice Market (shown here).
There. That’s Zac Efron’s first day at the resort. I hope I can stay longer so I can tell you how he is enjoying his vacation here in the Philippines. I know he’s up to a lot of adventure in Bicol. I will try my best to keep you guys posted! 🙂
You can use my photographs of Zac but make sure you properly attribute this site. Thank you!
