2012 was about finding light and love, chasing dreams, and reliving passions that fuel existence.
I lost my joie de vivre in 2011 but gained it all back, and more, last year: gave birth to this travel blog, Huffington Post linked one of my whale shark stories on their site, managed to land on the front-page of two of the country’s widely-read dailies, officially went back to travel writing via Mabuhay magazine, added another slashie on my resume as a travel photographer, had some of my photographs grace the Folklorama Festival in Canada, published my works on Rappler (among other online sites).
Traveled the Philippines and some parts of Asia, conquered my fear and tried scuba diving for the first time, and was finally able to serve in Cuyo, my dream UPCAT destination.
Went back to teaching and celebrated my 30th birthday with a blast. And fell in love – with everything and anything. Because it is not okay to delay love. 🙂
When you shower the universe with so much affection, how can the universe say no to you? It can’t and it does not. So, you take flight. You dance, dream, travel, love.
Thank you 2012! I had fun! And this new year, I shall continue to take flight under His guidance.
Here’s to a legendary 2013 for all of us! Let’s continue discovering our passions and living our dreams, because, as they say, “you can outdistance that which is running after you, but not what is inside you.”
Thank You for this life!
Love and light, everyone. Go, juanderlust! Happy birthday, y’all! 😀
