I got thrilled this morning when I saw the Department of Tourism’s latest television commercial for its It’s More Fun in the Philippines campaign. It’s just clever and very Filipino!
DOT Sec. Mon Jimenez really made sure he has the best advertising people on his team. I have been hearing so many great things about the man and I guess it shows in the kind of promotion we’ve been getting from DOT since the campaign has started.
Back to the commercial, I wanted to hit the beach after watching it. Our country’s crystal clear waters are just really too inviting, it is so hard to ignore them. It is unbelievable not to be taken by their pristine beauty. I, myself, cannot resist our country’s stunning beaches, I am guilty of taking the plunge even before the boat docks – in El Nido, Calaguas, Boracay, Bohol, everywhere!
Plus, the commercial is very Filipino! Where else can we expect that spirit of bayanihan? Yes, only in the Philippines.
DOT succeeded in packing in a 30-seconder commercial everything there is to the campaign: natural beauty, fun, Filipinos.
It is now my favorite DOT commercial born out of the campaign. It used to be this, shot in Bicol with the majestic Mayon Volcano, totally unparalleled anywhere in the world.
There’s also another TVC that features the night life in Manila.
Let’s keep on rocking, Philippines! Love and light, everyone. Go, juanderlust! 😀
